Project Overview

Spraylat International supported the One Nine Elms development in London with Protectapeel GlassDefend, our temporary glass protection coating. Delivered for Multiplex, the landmark mixed-use scheme features two iconic towers, luxury residential space, a hotel and premium amenities at the gateway to the Nine Elms district. With extensive glazing across a high-profile, large-scale build, the project required reliable surface protection that could perform throughout construction and be removed cleanly at the end of the programme.

The Challenge

On a development of this scale, internal and external glass surfaces are exposed to ongoing construction traffic, follow-on trades and the risk of scratches, marking and costly remedial work. The protection system needed to remain durable over an extended programme, maintain adhesion without failing in service and support a high-quality handover without leaving residue on finished surfaces.

The Solution

Protectapeel GlassDefend was specified for approximately 30,000m² of glass protection across the One Nine Elms project. Designed for easy application and dependable long-term performance, GlassDefend created a temporary protective barrier against scratches and site damage while construction progressed. Its durable formulation helped maintain consistent adhesion over time, and at the end of the works it peeled away cleanly, supporting an efficient finishing process and reducing the need for glass repair or replacement. In line with Spraylat’s innovation-led approach, the solution provided practical protection while helping minimise waste associated with damaged materials and rework.
