Channel 4 Temporary Art Installation
Channel 4 used Protectapeel’s signage protective coating to mask concrete flooring and steps outside its head office during a temporary art installation. The coating was quickly applied by roller, creating a protective barrier over the concrete surface. Graffiti artwork was then painted directly onto the Protectapeel coating rather than the floor itself. Once the installation had ended, the coating was simply peeled away, taking the artwork with it. This left the concrete completely clean and restored to its original condition, demonstrating Protectapeel’s effectiveness for temporary decoration projects.
Silverstone Racetrack Temporary Advertising
Silverstone Circuit used Protectapeel signage protective coating to protect a 200-metre section of its new concrete pit wall while temporarily displaying AirAsia branding for the British Grand Prix.
The coating was quickly applied by spray, allowing the branding to be applied directly on top. After the event, Protectapeel was simply peeled away, removing the graphics and leaving the concrete clean and undamaged. This project showcased Protectapeel as an effective solution for temporary decoration on high-value surfaces.
Protecting Iconic Studio Floors
Protectapeel was used at the BBC Television Centre to protect the studio floor from scratches, heavy foot traffic, studio equipment, and discolouration caused by intense TV lighting.
Applied annually by airless spray, the coating formed a durable protective barrier around the iconic curved seating area. At the end of each year, Protectapeel was simply peeled away and reapplied, keeping the floor in its original condition while allowing filming to continue uninterrupted.
Protectapeel at St James’ Park
During UEFA Euro 96, Protectapeel was used at St James’ Park to provide temporary decoration and conceal existing advertising. The peelable coating allowed tournament branding to be displayed without affecting the original surfaces.
Once the event ended, Protectapeel was simply hand-peeled away, revealing the stadium’s original advertising. This demonstrated Protectapeel’s effectiveness for temporary event branding and advertising concealment.
