Product Capabilities & Performance
Aircraft Canopy Protection
Protecting aircraft canopies during storage, handling, and transit by forming a durable, peelable barrier that prevents scratching, contamination, and environmental degradation.
Protectapeel is spray-applied, quickly contouring to complex curved and shaped canopy surfaces without the need for measuring, cutting, or taping. The coating provides uniform coverage over critical optical areas, shielding them from dust, overspray, UV exposure, and handling wear.
When protection is no longer required, Protectapeel is easily removed by hand in a single peel, leaving no residue behind and ensuring maximum clarity and performance prior to deployment or system integration.
Aircraft Long-Term Storage & Preservation (Mothballing)
The Protectapeel Preservation System is designed for the long-term storage of aircraft, providing a robust, removable protective coating that safeguards critical surfaces against corrosion, contamination, UV exposure, moisture ingress, and handling damage.
The system meets U.S. MIL-C-6799C requirements, delivering compliant protection that supports asset preservation, inspection readiness, and efficient return-toservice.
Protectapeel is removed easily by hand peeling, leaving no residue and eliminating the need for solvents, abrasive cleaning, or rework enabling faster, safer reactivation of stored aircraft assets.

The cost of Protectapeel depends on the size and type of product you purchase. While protective film and boards are often seen as cheaper surface protection options, we conducted a cost comparison to evaluate this assumption. Take a look at our cost comparison. Yes, Protectapeel can be applied to a range of non-porous surfaces, including flooring, sanitary basins, countertops, windows, frames, and doors. Before project handover, it can be easily removed by hand peeling, revealing clean, undamaged surfaces without delays or additional costs. Before application, you must always apply the Protectapeel product to a small test area to test the substrate’s suitability. You must ensure that all substrates are well covered. Allow the product to dry for 48 hours, and then check that the Protectapeel product will peel away from each substrate.
The recommended application thickness for each Protectapeel product is detailed in the Technical Data Sheet. Applying the minimum thickness is essential for effective protection and easy removal.
Protectapeel is applied using an airless spray gun, eliminating the need for measuring or cutting to size (if you used protective film or board). It is quickly applied taking just 49 seconds per m².
Protectapeel provides a peelable coating that protects glass from scratches, dirt, and damage during construction. It is easily applied using an airless spray gun, reducing labour requirements on-site. Once the project is complete, the coating can be effortlessly peeled away, leaving the glass clean and undamaged.
