The Challenge

Verder UK imports precision-engineered pump components from manufacturing facilities in Turkey before assembling and distributing finished products from the UK. Throughout this process, the components experience prolonged transportation, changing climates and extended warehouse storage, all of which increase the likelihood of corrosion developing on exposed metal surfaces.

Even light surface oxidation can affect the appearance and quality of engineered components, creating unnecessary inspection, cleaning or replacement costs before assembly can begin. A reliable temporary protection system was required to safeguard the components without adding extra preparation work when they were ready for production.

Verder UK needed a solution that could:

Applied directly to prepared metal surfaces, the water-based peelable coating dries to form a durable protective membrane that seals the component from moisture, humidity, airborne contaminants and other environmental conditions that contribute to corrosion. Unlike conventional rust inhibitors that often require solvents or cleaning prior to use, Protectapeel Anti Rust is simply peeled away by hand when protection is no longer required.

The coating remains securely bonded throughout transportation, storage and handling while allowing fast, residue-free removal, helping components move directly into assembly without additional preparation.
