Prepared for transport from Thurso, Scotland, the containers were shipped for use by Siemens in wind farm applications, where they support the transformation of offshore-generated energy into electricity for the national grid. In addition, the corrugated and irregular profile of the containers makes consistent protection difficult to achieve with conventional methods. Applied as a liquid, the coating delivered consistent coverage across corrugated and shaped surfaces, forming a flexible protective barrier against saltwater, weathering, abrasion and contamination. A tinted grey, non-flammable formulation was selected to align with the specific needs of the project.
